Social Media
The SAMHSA website is not the only way we communicate with people online. Social media is a powerful and effective way to share information and ideas. SAMHSA adheres to HHS Social Media Policies and privacy.
Social Media Accounts
SAMHSA uses a variety of communication networks to reach and engage with our audience:
Neither SAMHSA, nor HHS, endorse any particular social media site. Additionally, following us or sharing our content does not imply SAMHSA endorsement. SAMHSA appreciates when the public shares SAMHSA's strategic plan.
Comment Policy
Be Respectful: Constructive interaction is welcome. Personal attacks, foul language, and aggressive behavior are not.
Stay Focused: All viewpoints are welcome, but comments should remain relevant to the website, page, video, photo, or post to which you're commenting.
Do Not Spam: Repeated posting of identical or very similar content is counter-productive. SAMHSA new media sites are for informative discussion. Do not send posts that aggressively promote services or products.
Unapproved Comments: SAMHSA keeps records of unapproved comments to limit spamming and inappropriate postings. Comments will not be approved if they contain blatantly partisan views, explicit commercial endorsements, or discriminatory, racist, offensive, obscene, inflammatory, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable statements, language or content.
